There is nothing more debilitating than that of “Fear”! That gut wrenching desire to flee whatever the situation you see yourself dropped into; you just want to run!

There are two types of fear: That startling response to suddenly seeing a snake on your path when walking through the woods! Now, if it is poisonous, your fear is intensified! Responding to that fear may save your life!

Then there is a reverential fear: The slow dread of what might be or what you imagine could happen. Making a speech in front of your boss while not really knowing your material….where failure could mean losing your job.

I am going to propose a third type of fear: Reverential! That is the fear of the unknown. A sudden shadow passes in front of you, while walking down your hall in the middle of the night! A phone call from the doctor telling you there is a spot on your lung. Going for an angiogram and finding out you have to have a triple bypass! Then there is a fear for the unseen; the Spirit; God! How many times are we told….Fear Not! The Bible teaches us not to be afraid of God, yet, many are afraid of the Creator! Why? Because they do not know HIM! God is love! Love and fear cannot exist in the same space! If you create a painting, a sculpture, a letter; if you carry a child inside of you or father a child; there is nothing you will not do to protect your creation.

That is God! God loves! That who HE is! God created us; therefore, HE cannot do enough for us! God is God! HE will not destroy what HE has created! Then, to extend that love and to really seal the love, HE gave HIS only Son to die, so we don’t have to; to pay for our sins. That is true love! And that has nothing to do with fear! How can you fear anyone who loves you so much HE gave HIS life for you! So, have no fear! You are wondrously made and loved! John 3:16

Hiatus Over!

How much of a blessing is it to have a website to be able to share faith, share stories and share church!

It has been a while since I posted anything, but I am going to try and do better!

I would like to encourage all who are checking on this website for material to contribute how the Lord has touched your life, small ways or big events, it does not matter!

Submit your jokes, your stories, and then encourage others to read them!

We need to believe in the promises of the Bible.  It is easy when high on a mountain, when things in our life are going well, but sometimes we drop into a pothole of life and we are knocked off our mountain, by something, someone or our own confusion.  God will not give us more than we can bear, but the enemy is always there to scratch an itch we have about doubting, or fear, ready to tear us down!  But you can do whatever God gives us to do; because HE has given us the ability to do it!  God’s grace and mercy…..1John 4:4

Refugee Status? Matthew 24

What is going on?

There is an 18 year old refugee blowing up train sections in London, England, putting that country on “critical” alert!  There are leaders in the world committing genocide! Hurricanes, one after another, slamming into America!  North Korea flexing its bomb muscles!  Canada has a province burning!  Islands have been leveled!  Whales are dying and scientists don’t know why!

This world is in trouble!  While all this is happening, we, in the free world, separate from disasters and floods and burnings, are all focused on our cell phones.  People are dying because they walk out in front of buses while texting!  The most popular profit product in the world today:  head phones!  So people can put them on, turn on their phone and separate themselves from the rest of the world!  Our social interaction is dying, because we are all so caught up in the “self” phone industry.

Where is Jesus in all this chaos?  Where was HE 2,000 years ago?  Watching!  Waiting!  Jesus was in His 30’s before He began His ministry!  Have you ever wondered what He was doing for the first 30 years of His life!  He saw the suffering of people!  He saw the land being raped by the soldiers while they stole from those who were trying to harvest it!  Jesus saw the pain of those days!  Like He sees the pain of today!

There have been those who have said:  our world has seen wars in the past; animals have gone extinct before; slavery existed hand in hand with genocide in the past!  But here is the difference between then and now:  All of these things happening in the world–it is world wide!  Not isolated in Africa or the Middle East or Israel!  All the hatred; all the weather; all the pain combined with terror is world wide!  We do not know the face of our enemy!  And I am only scratching the surface of pain and suffering going on right now!

So, what can we do?  Pray!  Keep hope alive!  Speak out against tyranny!  Support our law!  And release your faith!  Do not keep your light under a bushel!  So much suffering is happening in this world today because so many people think there are many options to salvation:  There is only one option and His Name is above all names:  Jesus Christ!

Keep looking up, for His return is imminent!

There is no other way to describe what is happening in Texas!  As a Canadian, we seem untouched by disaster in Southern Ontario!  However, our hearts go out to our American friends in this, their hour of need!  We pray for the water to stop falling from the sky; we pray for the animals and wildlife trapped in this torrent; we pray for the American people who are suffering!  God has His hand on this, but we have to remember who we are fighting against.  When that old serpent, Satan was cast out of Heaven for defying our Lord, he was cast to earth!  Revelation 12:9 He has free reign but for a short time!  Revelation 12:12 tells us that he has but a short time here on earth, but he is roaming to and fro, seeking whom to devour!

We must remember who is wrecking this planet, who is on earth ready to pounce!  But, stay strong, keep the faith and our Lord is offering an eternity of protection, if we only believe!

May God turn His face toward Texas and all Americans in their hour of need!

So Much Hatred! Hebrews 4:16

For far too long Christians have been silent!  For far too long we have remained “still”!  There is a time to “Be Still” and let God work and there is a time to act.  Animals were slain to cover Adam and Eve, the clothes did not magically appear!  Moses had to keep his staff held high over his head to keep the water back!  The manna had to be gathered to be eaten, stomachs did not automatically feel full!

On and on throughout history we have had to do our part and we have had the past as an example of what to do in the future!  Learning from our mistakes!  What is going on in 2017?  Past wars are forgotten, past battles because of prejudices or hurts have torn families apart!  But, still we do not learn we cannot always have our own way.  There is only fighting when somebody is not getting what they want!  Today, selfishness rules; independent thinking with a focus on self, is the new normal!  Cell phones have replaced social interaction and texting has replaced face to face communication.

Then, we have the hate!  So much hate!  Hate for race, other than our own, hate for authority, except for our own decisions, hate for society in general!  Where is God in all this?  Exactly where HE was when Jesus was on the cross!  There was so much sin on Jesus when He died, God turned HIS own face from HIS Son, causing Jesus to cry out:  “Abba, why have You forsaken Me?”  Right up to that moment, God was with HIS Son!  Every minute!  But, when the sin is overpowering Jesus in our spirit, God turns His face from us!  We must stay focused on Jesus, not on the conforming to this world!

Jesus is waiting to overcome this world!  He has won the war!  He has removed the prejudices!  He has forgiven all mistakes!  Jesus has taken it all and when we accept all that, it becomes the “new normal” in our life!  Will you do it now?  Let Jesus replace all the hate, all the selfishness and all the battles raging inside of you!  Grace, mercy and Love will fill your spirit and make you soar to heights you never thought were possible!

Then, we want to share our new found freedom from hatred!  Do not go quietly throughout your day!  Shout it from the rooftops if you must, but be a powerful witness for Jesus!  Jesus did not go quietly into Jerusalem!  They knew He was coming and they threw Him a parade!  Let people know you are a follower of Jesus Christ and cry out:  “I am saved, by His blood”!

Then, stand back and enjoy the outpouring of blessings!  Because, they are coming!
