Challenge! Matthew 6:9
God wants to bless you! That is an uncomfortable statement for most people! In fact some even feel a little guilty. With so many people in the world in need, why should God give us more? But God’s concept of blessing goes beyond material things and to the cries of our heart! God is the only One who understands and hears that cry. God is the only one who can bless your life because He is our Creator. He formed you in your mother’s womb! (Jeremiah 1:5)
Because of our disobedience to God in the Garden of Eden, God sent His Son to pay for our disobedience.
Do we fully understand that God loved us so much that He allowed His Precious Son to come to this earth as Man to die, eradicating the sin committed so long ago in the Garden? Can any of us comprehend that love?Â
Someone once said…..well, God knew He would get His Son back; that Jesus would be resurrected! God knew it so He gave His Son freely.Â
Whew! Let me point out another angle: Have you ever been loved? Deeply and profoundly? We may know the emotionism of human love, but do we fully understand the power of God’s unconditional love? God’s love is pure and the deepest most intense love we could ever experience! Imagine what this world would be like without God’s pure love! Purity is without sin! So, when God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and take the sin of the world, God turned His face causing Jesus to cry out: “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?” (Matthew 24:46) To be without God’s love for even an instant would be devastating: Imagine being without it for three days! Now–God was without His Precious Son as well! No-one who has lost a child can take that lightly. To be missing a child for three days would be more pain than anyone can bear! The sin of the world was on Christ’s shoulders and God had to turn away!
God loves us so much and wants to draw us near to Him, but we must be sin free! The only way for that to happen–accept that Christ took our sin to the cross and left it there!Â
Christ loves us so much that He died for us! He loves us so much, He gave up Heaven for us! Christ loved us so much He bore all our sin! Christ loved us so much He became finite man!
I challenge you today to remember how much you are loved by God! By Christ! I challenge you to remember that when Christ ascended to His Father after the resurrection, He sent His Holy Spirit to reside in us and for us!Â
I challenge you to remember God gave us hope, gave us His love and He gave us ETERNAL LIFE! Through Him and for Him! All things are possible through Him who loves us!
