Strong vs Strength: 1 John 4:4

A strong woman works out everyday to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can be a blessing, and capitalizes on that.
A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith believing it is in the journey that will make her strong.
Note from Sharon:
All my life I have been around strong women and “women of strength”.  One woman I have know showed me that rarely a strong women is a “woman of strength”.  I have seen strength in women to get them through tragic loss:  mascetomies; death of a spouse; a parent; a child; loss of dignity, virtue, limbs and loss of minds but through all the losses, a quiet strength that is given to survive by our Lord and Savior.
My Aunt Gertie had so much loss in her life.  Raped at 14 years of age, she went on to marry a man that was an alcoholic.  A farmer’s wife she lost her six year old son to a tragic shooting accident, then another son to suicide.  She helped raise a beautiful granddaughter born out of wedlock and took on a 2 year old and infant grandsons who spoke not a word of English.  Those were just the highlights of her life I was priveleged to witness.  My Aunt lost so much; but she never lost her faith.  Even when Alzheimers took her dignity, she never lost her gentleness of spirit.  My Aunt Gertie is with the Lord now and I miss her all the time.  She left a legacy of Strength; Strength only given through the Grace of God:  1 John 4:4
