What are these scrolls called?
In 1947 the oldest surviving Biblical text was found. When a shepherd, Mohammed Dede was looking for a lost lamb, he came across a cave on the shores of the Dead Sea. Inside the cave were urns full of scrolls. He tried to sell the scrolls in the market place for pieces of silver and ultimately scholars identified them as Biblical text and discovered they verified every single story from the Old Testament. One year later the Jews took back Jerusalem in a six day war and reclaimed their land.
